VocalTec announced sales figures for their magicJack subsidiary that illustrates ongoing momentum for the VoIP powered device. The company reports the 365K magicJack Plus units sold in the past 30 days are the most they’ve ever sold in a 30 day period.

“It is quite exciting to watch our company ship the most magicJacks we have ever shipped in a 30-day period. It is now obvious the company is having its best sales quarter ever,” said magicJack VocalTec CEO Dan Borislow in a company press release.

magicJack VocalTec expects to book $55 to $60 million in total sales in 4Q11, the company reports. magicJack Plus is the latest in the line of VoIP dongles, made famous by their aggressive marketing campaigns. This newest version allows subscribers to use magicJack services without plugging it into a PC.

magicJack has had somewhat of a colorful 2011, with a few developments that could impact their long term future. They started out the year facing an E911 showdown, regarding 911 fees in West Virginia. They also faced an inquiry into access fees, for which they derive significant revenues due to their CLEC status. This issue will ultimately be resolved with the ongoing USF-ICC reform, currently underway at the FCC.

These issues haven’t stopped majicJack from developing new products, including a magicJack iPhone app.
