Palmer, Alaska — December 15, 2016 — The APMAX StreamingTV™ service that lets consumers stream Live TV channels to Roku® devices, Tablets and Smartphones over a service providers data connection has now been deployed at Matanuska Telephone Association (MTA), one of the nations largest Telecommunications Cooperatives.
According to their news release, MTA has launched the APMAX StreamingTV™, branded as “MTA Stream”, which will allow over 95% of their customers to access their favorite local Alaska stations from their proprietary data network .
MTA CEO Michael Burke says, “Our MTA Stream product is giving consumers the freedom to choose additional subscription packages that suit their lifestyle, it’s a game changer. We have focused on ensuring this is an easy product for consumers to activate and use, we’re excited about this new product.”
According to Carolyn Hanson, MTA’s Director of Marketing and Sales, “MTA Stream is a natural product evolution for our customers who want more flexibility and we were pleased with the level of support provided by Innovative Systems.” A couple of months into the launch, Hanson says they are seeing continued growth in customers signing up for the new service and they are actively promoting the ease of operation in all of their retail stores. Another thing Hanson sees as an advantage is the mobility within the home that comes with StreamingTV. As an initial beta tester, Hanson liked the flexibility of watching live network programming on her iPad while others in her home were watching linear programming on their TVs.
