Palmer, Alaska — Novemebr 17, 2016 — Matanuska Telephone Association (MTA) , one of the nations largest Telecom Cooperatives and the largest in Alaska, has migrated 100% of their IPTV customers to the APMAX IPTV Middleware solution. According to Carolyn Hanson, Director of Marketing and Sales at MTA, migrating over 7000 homes to a new IPTV interface could have been a nerve wracking task, but the move to the new Middleware was surprisingly seamless. Hanson cites the experience and expertise of the APMAX support team as key in the conversion.
According to Innovative Systems VP of Voice and Video services Jerry Weber, “Given the complexity of MTA’s network covering over 10,000 square miles, we were pleased with the cooperation of MTA’s network engineers who along with our support team put all of the pieces together in an efficient manner.” Weber adds, “Since 2011 Innovative Systems has converted nearly 60 IPTV systems over to APMAX Middleware and this experience paid off with the successful migration of such a large rural provider like MTA.”
Hanson commented that the majority of the positive comments centered around the program guide being much more user friendly. MTA’s member customers are looking for more service flexibility and the new guide provides them additional interactive options like the What’s Hot and Weather Apps.
