Kinetic Business by Windstream has introduced “high-touch” Professional Services, a service aimed at ensuring customers’ networks comply with industry regulations.
The idea behind Kinetic Business Professional Services is to support the tricky tasks of establishing and monitoring compliance for industry regulations. Windstream says that it uses proprietary tools and diagnostic tests to identify vulnerabilities before they are exploited and to perform migration and configuration functions as a part of the program.
The focus is on the health care and retail sectors, which “care for and protect” an ever-increasing amount of customers’ personal information, said Jeff Lowney, Kinetic Business’ president of strategic accounts, in a press release.
The company outlined what it says are customized services that it is offering:
- Network performance versus actual business requirements analysis
- Optimal network sizing and configuration recommendations
- Evaluation of PCI DSS and HIPAA compliance
- Security audits to assess external vulnerability
- Attack and penetration testing
- Assessment of the current security program
- Migration of cloud server and desktop OS
- Configuration assistance with CPE design and implementation
“At the same time that security threats are growing more complex, organizations are struggling with decreasing IT budgets and limited staff and can no longer maintain performance, security and compliance requirements for their network,” Lowney said in the press release. “That’s where Kinetic Business Professional Services can be a partner to offer guidance to help them rise to the challenges of a rapidly changing digital world.”
In March, Kinetic Business introduced a suite of LAN services that aim to “enhance the customer experience, improve employee productivity and gather detailed analytics for rich business intelligence,” according to the company. The SD-WAN service, which is built on the VeloCloud from VMware platform, was introduced last May.
Kinetic Business has an established profile across all size businesses. It offers DDoS protection, managed network security, MPLS/L3VPN, VLS, managed router service, SD-WAN and enhanced LAN and WiFi.
