KANSAS CITY, MO (May 29, 2013) – 1102 Grand, Kansas City’s carrier hotel, announces that customer Kansas Fiber Network (KsFiberNet), a consortium of 29 carriers across the state of Kansas, has upgraded its network capacity at 1102 Grand to 100G DWDM.
The high capacity network upgrade comes in response to an increase in demand from carrier and business customers in the rural Kansas market who require high bandwidth services. KsFiberNet offers private line (TDM and Ethernet), dedicated Internet access, wireless backhaul and long distance over its state-of-the-art, high capacity network.
“Upgrading to 100G at 1102 Grand allows us to better serve our customers throughout rural Kansas and the Kansas City metro area,” states Steven Dorf, KsFiberNet President. “The increased capacity further confirms our commitment to provide top of the line services that allow our customers to meet their business objectives and fuel economic growth across the state of Kansas.”
“Kansas City has thrived in recent years with fiber builds and network development,” states Hunter Newby, Joint Venture Partner at 1102 Grand. “As one of the fastest growing telecommunication hubs in the Midwest, 1102 Grand looks forward to providing connectivity to the innovative and ever-growing business community in and around Kansas City.”
As a component of their upgrade KsFiberNet will utilize the 1102 Grand DealCenter, an online meeting management system for customers of 1102 Grand, to drive core transport and other network service opportunities. The 1102 Grand DealCenter is a unique platform that allows carriers like KsFiberNet to market their available services within the facility. By deploying DealCenter, 1102 Grand facilitates new business opportunities within its network operator community.
