MEF’s Global Network-as-a-Service Event (GNE) will offer an in-depth look at the evolving NaaS ecosystem, bringing together key players including service providers, technology vendors, wholesale operators, hyperscalers, system integrators, and enterprises. The event will highlight the significant progress made in NaaS over the past year, its transformative impact on the industry, and strategies to navigate current challenges. Key discussions will focus on future planning and competitive strategies in this rapidly changing landscape. Taking place October 28-30 in Dallas, Texas, GNE 2024 will provide real-time insights into the state of the NaaS industry.
At GNE, MEF will highlight its NaaS Customer Experience white paper, an industry-first collaborative effort by leading service providers that offers a comprehensive guide of NaaS service features, designed to give enterprises and application developers insights into NaaS provider offerings. This will be complemented by an updated NaaS Industry Blueprint, which will be important for NaaS providers and system integrators. The blueprint sheds light on converging trends that have the potential to accelerate NaaS innovation, empower enterprise customers with greater agility, security, and performance, and help them understand the full potential of the NaaS market.
The event begins with a half-day LSO (Lifecycle Service Orchestration) Automation Summit, where industry experts provide practical insights into automation, covering everything from buyer-seller interactions to advanced applications like blockchain-based billing and smart contracts. Sessions will address defining the lifecycle of services, navigating buyer-seller relationships, and building the business case for automation.

Over the following two days, GNE will focus on key themes including:
- Enterprise NaaS, where enterprise executives will address their expectations and needs. Digital transformation drivers, cloud-first strategies, AI-enhanced networking, cyber threats, SD-WAN, Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), and NaaS adoption will be featured.
- NaaS Offerings will explore the development and variety of NaaS offerings, including service demand and bundling innovations, and security, including MEF’s recently published Industry Report of SASE.
- Ecosystems and Automation will look at the global ecosystem needed for NaaS delivery and the role of automation, particularly through MEF’s LSO framework.
Attendees can experience NaaS in action with a dozen live demonstrations of the latest NaaS innovations and technologies. These demos will feature service and technology providers from across the NaaS ecosystem, showcasing automation capabilities and collaborative efforts shaping the industry.
MEF’s GNE serves as a key gathering for experts and thought leaders across the NaaS community, providing attendees with access to a wide range of in-depth content. The event facilitates peer-to-peer networking and offers valuable insights into current industry trends and strategies, helping participants enhance their understanding of NaaS and inform their approaches moving forward.
