VANCOUVER, Wash., Oct. 1, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Integra™, a provider of fiber-based, carrier-grade networking, communications and technology solutions, has completed its acquisition of Seattle-based World Communications, Inc. (WCI) following the receipt of regulatory approvals.

The acquisition, which was first announced in July, brings to Integra a sizable base of enterprise customers who now gain access to Integra’s vast network resources, and will bolster Integra’s talent pool in the Seattle market. WCI and Integra have been working closely together over the last several months to ensure a seamless integration with minimal disruption for customers.

“The acquisition of WCI is a key step in the continued growth of our fiber-rich Northwest markets and we’re pleased to see it to completion,” said Jesse Selnick, Integra’s chief financial officer. “The combination of WCI’s strong customer roster and enterprise expertise and Integra’s rich network assets will yield substantial benefits for both existing and new customers while enhancing Integra’s position as the premier choice for network services for businesses in the region.”
