Insecureweb.com and UTMStack have launched a free dark web monitoring tool that tracks email addresses, social network user names, and corporate domains.
Insecureweb.com says that it is unique in providing users with evidence of breaches. Individuals and entitles that suspect they are under threat receive what the company describes as comprehensive reports, including screenshots and full descriptions of the threat.
The reports also provide Insecureweb’s graphic tool for dark web monitoring, the 3D Threat Intelligence Galaxy Map. This tool enables users to “navigate the threat intelligence landscape in a visually intuitive manner.”
Ultimately, Insecureweb’s goal is to provide users with the ability to “see” what is happening when a threat is encountered: “Users can explore connections between their digital surface and various threats on the internet and dark web, gaining a deeper understanding of their security posture,” according to a company release.
In other words, the map helps confront threats by enabling users to visualize the relationships and patterns in the data. This can lead to more proactive responses when problems occur.
There are other dark web monitoring services on the market.
For instance, in July 2022, AT&T introduced Advanced Privacy & Protection Features. The product — which, at that point, was priced at $7 per month — gave customers access to VPN at Home and other features. One feature of the platform is ID Monitoring, which continually scans the dark web and issues alerts of any ID leaks. Daily alerts and tips are included.
Midwest Data Center, which dates all the way back to 2003, is used by Liberty Communications. Among the services offered are dark web monitoring, workstation management, cloud backup and recovery and more.
