May 6, 2020 — Geneva, Neb. – South central Nebraska-based Glenwood Telecommunications, Inc. announced today its impending purchase of the broadband network and customer contracts of Geneva Broadband; with official ownership taking place on June 1, 2020.

Geneva Broadband has worked to create a base fiber infrastructure in Geneva and fixed wireless network through Fillmore County for over 10 years. Greg Baltzer, co-founder and Operations Manager of Geneva Broadband, said, “We are excited to see the level of commitment Glenwood has to improving the Internet infrastructure in Fillmore County, which will quickly be on display with the expansion of fiber optic cabling in Geneva.”
