Frontier Communications hopes to improve customers’ online experiences through a multi-year partnership with Red Digital, a division of Red Ventures, designed to build a “digital-first” customer experience

Red Digital, an AI-powered marketing solutions business within Red Ventures, will build a digital innovation hub to improve online experiences and increase subscriber growth, according to Frontier. The partners also will create a talent development program to build digital capabilities within Frontier.

Red Digital, which launched this year, uses personalization and segmentation to drive growth.

“Our priority is simple: create the very best customer experience for our current and future customers,” John Harrobin, Frontier’s Executive Vice President of Consumer, said in a press release about the Frontier Red Ventures deal. “Our new partnership with Red Digital will allow us to grow our consumer base on pace with our accelerated fiber expansion plans, while building a digital-first culture that will lead us into the future here at Frontier.”

Frontier’s network operates across 25 states. The company has embarked on a renewed effort to rebuild it’s network and become the largest “pure play” fiber broadband provider in the country. The company has a 2021 goal of adding 600K new fiber broadband locations.

Frontier has some work to do in improving the customer experience — work it hopes Red Digital can help it accomplish. The FTC and six states have sued Frontier, claiming it wasn’t delivering what it sold with certain DSL customers, of which it still has plenty.
