PORTLAND, Ore.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Frontier Communications (NASDAQ: FTR) has launched an online Small Business Social Media All-Star contest to identify the best small business-focused social media initiatives in its markets. The launch was announced during a live webinar in Portland, Ore. on July 13, 2012.
Small businesses throughout Frontier’s territory are encouraged to submit their company Facebook page by visiting the Frontier Small Business page at www.facebook.com/FrontierSmallBusiness. Entries will be accepted today through Aug. 4, 2012. A panel of social media experts will select the contest finalists.
The winning Social Media All-Star will be determined through open voting on the finalist’s social media campaigns on the Frontier Small Business Facebook page in late September 2012. The grand prize winner will receive $10,000 in Frontier Small Business products and services, including web hosting, voice/data products, Wi-Fi, and backup and recovery services.
The webinar on July 13 was the first in a series of informational events and communications designed to further educate the public and small businesses about social media strategies. During the weeks leading to August 4, Frontier’s Small Business team will offer more webinars and educational emails with “tools, tips and tricks” on staying connected through social media.
