Press Release

HOUSTON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–CyrusOne, a wholly owned subsidiary of Cincinnati Bell (NYSE: CBB) and preeminent enterprise data center solutions provider, invites IT professionals to see its world-class facility in Austin, Texas—the newest data center in the market—and to meet golf Hall of Famer and 19-time champion, Ben Crenshaw, at its open house on March 22.

“Our second facility in Austin—and our tenth in Texas—this expansion is another example of CyrusOne’s leading position in the state. Not only are we the only company delivering fully synchronous replication between our two facilities in the Austin market, we plan to launch, later this year, the country’s first statewide internet exchange, when we link our Houston, Dallas and San Antonio data centers to one another,” said Gary Wojtaszek, president, CyrusOne.

The Austin data center upholds CyrusOne’s commitment to building world-class enterprise-level facilities. The current expansion offers 40,000 additional square feet of raised floor with the capacity to increase the size of this facility by an additional 500,000 square feet to meet large floor-space demands for turnkey data center solutions. It provides fully redundant power through two separate onsite electric substations—each with the capability of expanding up to 400 megawatts—and access to and from numerous telecommunications carriers via interior and exterior fiber-optic loops.

“This open house is the perfect opportunity for the vibrant, high-tech community of Austin to network and see the latest in state-of-the-art data center technology, all while perfecting their golf swing,” said Wojtaszek.

The Austin Chamber of Commerce commemorates the grand opening of the facility with a ribbon cutting at 4:00 pm. The doors then open from 4:30 to 8:00 pm for the IT community event, during which attendees can tour the CyrusOne facility, shake hands with Crenshaw and practice their swing on a Virtual Swing Analysis machine accompanied by a certified PGA coach.
