Cox Business Internet Gateway combines a DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem and a Wi-Fi-enabled 802.11ac router (enabling the fastest Wi-Fi speeds) into one device. This simplifies device management and delivers the fastest “in-office” Wi-Fi experience available today. The Cox Business Guest Wi-Fi uses a second gateway device, plus a Wi-Fi backhaul connection, which enables businesses to offer dedicated Wi-Fi solutions to their customers without disrupting core business operations.

“Offering free and secure Wi-Fi is one of the best ways that businesses can create customer-friendly environments and enhance engagement,” said Steve Rowley, senior vice president, Cox Business. “Aside from building customer loyalty, this latest offering enables small businesses to tap into the power of wireless connectivity for all of their devices from smartphones to point of sale systems.”

“We are extremely pleased with Cox Business Internet Gateway and Guest Wi-Fi,” said Lucinda Einhouse, president and CEO of Beck Center for the Arts, a non-profit, performing arts and education organization in Cleveland Ohio. “Our previous Wi-Fi experience was unreliable. Not only is this Wi-Fi experience reliable, but it’s fast, which makes our employees more productive and guests happy.”

The Internet Gateway and Guest Business Wi-Fi are the latest Wi-Fi solutions from Cox Business. The company also provides Cox Wi-Fi and Cable Wi-Fi offerings, which allow small business employees free access to thousands of secure hotspots when working remotely.

“We understand the importance of simplifying technology and connectivity solutions for our customers,” added Steve Rowley. “By providing small businesses with the fastest Wi-Fi solutions available in the office and outside the office, their employees stay productive and their customers have better experiences within those businesses.”

Cox Business provides voice, data and video services for more than 300,000 small and regional businesses, including healthcare providers, K-12 and higher education, financial institutions and federal, state and local government organizations. The organization also serves most of the top tier wireless and wireline telecommunications carriers in the U.S. through its wholesale division. According to Vertical Systems Group, Cox Business is one of the largest providers of business Ethernet services in the U.S. based on customer ports and has been consistently recognized for its leadership among small and midsize business data service providers. Cox is currently the seventh largest voice service provider in the U.S. and supports one million phone lines. For more information about Cox Business, call 1-800-396-1609 FREE.
