Press Release

Cordia, a Winter Garden, FL based CLEC has introduced their Magellan VoIP service, which creates a “virtual” extension that can be reached from 40 different countries and over 300 cities at local rates. The concept allows an originating international caller to dial a local number, and have it ring on any number in the U.S., landline or mobile. The idea being, Magellan customers can get a local telephone number presence anywhere within the 40 countries/300 cities served by their network. This solution extends similar domestic based services offered by Vonage and others, into the international arena.

Per minute rates apply and Magellan customers can buy blocks of minutes, or unlimited packages. This service has some interesting applications, including trying to leverage the expansive immigrant population in the U.S. who want to stay in touch with friends and family back home.
