CHR Solutions, a Houston, Tx based business consulting firm with deep roots in the independent telco space, announced the acquisition of Western Data Pro, an Oregon based billing and OSS provider to small telcos. CHR is currently executing an acquisition strategy in the hopes of significantly building scale and reach across the telecom and IT industries. Among other recent acquisitions, CHR also acquired billing and OSS specialist Martin Group.

Western Data Pro was formed in 1985 by several independent phone companies to build a data processing center for billing and other OSS services. It continues to serve telcos in the pacific northwest region with a variety of billing and OSS solutions. “This purchase enhances CHR’s position delivering ‘Software as a Service’ (SaaS) to its software solutions clients as well as improving CHR’s footprint in the Pacific Northwest while adding a fourth data center to its cloud computing capabilities,” said CHR in a news release.
