Chesnee Communications will begin operating under the Comporium brand as of Nov. 1. This change marks a milestone in the process of fully integrating the employees and customers of Chesnee Communications into Comporium.
Regional operator Comporium completed its previously announced purchase of Chesnee Communications from Skyline Telephone Membership Corp. of West Jefferson, NC. in November 2021.
Comporium plans to roll out its brand for all Chesnee customers over the coming months. The Comporium name and logo will appear on signage, employee uniforms, vehicles and customer bills.
In addition to branding changes, Comporium has been assessing and upgrading its facilities in northeastern Spartanburg and northwestern Cherokee Counties in an attempt to bring customers better services. The company plans to make additional announcements about technology upgrades in the coming months.
“A significant amount of work has been occurring behind the scenes over the last year as we prepared for this step,” said Matthew Dosch, Comporium chief operating officer and executive vice president, in a prepared statement. “We’ve reorganized our employees internally to better support the operations in Chesnee, and our IT team has been working long hours to make sure the system’s transition is smooth. Our goal is to bring our Chesnee customers onto the Comporium brand seamlessly.”
