MONROE, La., July 10, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — As part of its previously announced commitment to expand its workforce in Monroe, CenturyLink, Inc. (NYSE: CTL) has selected architectural firm Moody Nolan to assist in the design of expanded facilities at its headquarters campus.

While plans have not been finalized, this expansion is expected to include technology research facilities as well as additional office and meeting space.

“This expansion project will be a catalyst for advancing our strategic growth initiatives and will promote the research of new technologies,” said CEO and President Glen F. Post, III. “We are pleased to bring high-quality jobs to Monroe and believe our new facility will be a focal point for our technology-driven company, helping to inspire innovation, idea generation and problem solving that will benefit our customers and employees.”

Groundbreaking for the new facility is planned for early 2013. It is estimated that upon completion, the facility will encompass up to 225,000 square feet and eventually accommodate an additional 600-800 employees.
