Press Release

Washington, DC – Today, Competitive Carriers Association (CCA) and iSelectMD announced a strategic relationship to help competitive carriers bring mobile health services to their customers in rural, regional and nationwide areas of the U.S.  The objective of the CCA mHealth program is to allow carriers the ability to provide consumers with improved access to mobile health through their wireless devices.

The CCA mHealth program allows consumers access to a national network of board certified physicians for consultation and receive prescriptions when appropriate for a variety of non-life threatening illnesses.  The program will help decrease employer sponsored healthcare costs and lost time in the workplace, and will enable carriers to benefit from increased customer loyalty.

“I am extremely pleased to partner with iSelectMD to bring an mHealth program to our carrier members,” said CCA President & CEO Steven K. Berry.  “The CCA mHealth program provides real-time access to a national network of board certified physicians, which will allow consumers to get immediate assistance in times of need.  Providing consumers with the ability to connect directly with a physician using a wireless device will be especially beneficial to consumers in rural and hard to reach areas.  Programs like CCA mHealth really are the future of wireless, and I’m pleased CCA members have the opportunity to take advantage of this valuable program.”

“Our team is particularly motivated and excited about the “real time” access to care and the reduced costs associated with our mHealth partnership with CCA,” said Michael Iaquinta, President of iSelectMD. “Delivering this program to wireless customers and employees across the country in rural areas is a positive step in the right direction of fixing the most fundamental problems in healthcare access today in the U.S.”
