Updated Thursday, January 8: Florida, Kentucky, Maryland, Missouri, and Nevada are now among the 39 states with approved BEAD proposals.

The NTIA approved BEAD proposals for Arizona, Colorado, Indiana, Michigan, Nebraska, New Jersey, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.

Wednesday, December 3: We added California to our list of BEAD provisional awards. All 50 states have now announced provisional awards.

With the NTIA rule changes, the Colorado BEAD fiber percentage dropped below 50%. It would have been lower without the state’s intervention.

BEAD award money will go heavily toward LEO satellite in Colorado and Montana, but fiber wins in Arkansas and Maine.
