Press Release

WALTHAM, MA – March 7, 2013 — NetCracker Technology announced today that C Spire Wireless has selected NetCracker’s convergent BSS solution to consolidate and manage all billing, customer account, and service activation activities for prepaid, postpaid, and hybrid customers.

C Spire provides personalized wireless voice and data services and premier mobile communications devices to consumers and businesses in the southern U.S. The company is the oldest continuously owned and operated wireless provider in the U.S.

The decision to transform C Spire’s existing billing capability into a single, converged billing solution will eliminate third-party components, streamline and optimize operations, reduce the need for customization, and support the launch of complex new products and services. The change also will enable the company to accommodate prepaid, postpaid, and hybrid customers.

“It was crucial that we update our billing platform from separate systems to a single, flexible, and converged solution to keep pace with the highly competitive and rapidly evolving wireless market,” said Carla Lewis, Senior Vice President of Information Technology for C Spire Wireless. “We chose NetCracker for this project based on the strength of their solution suite and their extensive experience in successfully delivering BSS transformations.”

“This BSS transformation will enable C Spire to provide a new level of service by supporting their rollout of creative new products and pricing plans that will enhance the customer experience and establish differentiation in the marketplace,” said Sylvain Seignour, NetCracker’s Vice President Americas and Europe. “NetCracker’s next-generation technology and extensive transformational experience complements C Spire’s agile business model, creating a partnership that addresses C Spire’s current needs and positions them well for future growth.”
