NTIA has allocated $665M in BEAD funding to New York.
New York’s Affordable Housing Connectivity Program is a competitive grant program designed to fund high-speed, reliable broadband infrastructure to and within low-income housing units.
The program will enable eligible providers to bring affordable at-home internet service options to those housing units. The program received $100M through the federal Capital Projects Fund.
The program will provide grants for broadband deployment to locations that do not currently have access to reliable, affordable, high-speed internet service. Grants awarded will fund the deployment of broadband to all Eligible Locations across New York State. Based on BEAD Program timeline requirements, ConnectALL expects projects under these grants to commence in 2025 and take up to four years to complete.
