NTIA has allocated $675M in BEAD funding to New Mexico.
About
The Connect New Mexico Broadband grant program is a competitive grant program designed to build broadband infrastructure to areas of the state without access to reliable wireline service. The program received $110M from the federal Capital Projects Fund.
This program provides grants for the “construction, improvement or acquisition of middle mile infrastructure.” NTIA notes that “the purpose of the grant program is to expand and extend middle mile infrastructure to reduce the cost of connecting unserved and underserved areas to the internet backbone.”
