The Connect New Mexico Broadband grant program is a competitive grant program designed to build broadband infrastructure in areas of the state without access to reliable wireline service. The program received $110M from the federal Capital Projects Fund.

This program provides grants for the “construction, improvement or acquisition of middle-mile infrastructure.” NTIA notes that “the purpose of the grant program is to expand and extend middle-mile infrastructure to reduce the cost of connecting unserved and underserved areas to the internet backbone.”
