Launched in 2020, the Broadband Acceleration Grant Program is critical in Kansas’ plan to address broadband gaps statewide. Funds will be targeted to areas that are unlikely to receive broadband service without state or federal funding support.
Kansas’s LINC (Lasting Infrastructure and Network Connectivity) program, a competitive grant program, will build high-speed internet service in areas where there is a demonstrated need. LINC will contribute to bridging the digital divide by providing access to reliable high-speed internet connections. The program received $83.5 million from the Treasury Capital Projects Fund.
