NTIA has allocated $827M in BEAD funding to Colorado.
Funded Capital Projects must meet all of the following criteria:
- The capital project invests in capital assets designed to directly enable work, education and health monitoring.
- The capital project is designed to address a critical need that resulted from or was made apparent or exacerbated by the COVID-19 public health emergency.
- The capital project is designed to address a critical need of the community to be served by it.
- To deploy last-mile broadband infrastructure capable of providing symmetrical 100 Mbps internet access to eligible locations.
- Eligible locations include those that lack access to reliable, wireline internet access of at least 100/20 Mbps.
The Advance Colorado Broadband (ACB) grant program is a competitive grant program designed to deploy broadband internet service to households, businesses, community anchor institutions,
and agricultural operations that currently lack access to reliable broadband that can meet or exceed 25/3 Mbps.
This program aims to prioritize projects that connect areas of the state with the lowest levels internet service.
