In our fourth installment of Telecompetitor’s Broadband Industry Innovator video series, I speak with Mark Mrla, Director, Strategy Operations at Finley, about state run broadband funding programs.

There is much attention on federal programs like the FCC’s RDOF program and the USDA’s ReConnect program, but as Mrla points out, there are a plethora of state broadband funding programs as well. Mrla shares his insight on how broadband carriers should not overlook these state broadband funding programs and offers advice on how to improve your chances for winning at the state level. According to Mrla, it’s time to step up your game if you want to win.

Check out Part 1 of our Broadband Industry Innovator series interview with Finley Engineering on broadband industry momentum and RDOF here, and Part 2, where we discuss the growing momentum of electric utility broadband. Part three of the series takes a deeper dive into CBRS opportunities, particularly with fixed wireless.
