In an effort to attract new and upgrade customers, Brightspeed is offering special pricing on four of its tiers of service, including an internet plan starting at $29 per month. The company also is offering gift cards and other inducements.

Highlights of the offers:

The base Brightspeed fiber plan, which offers 200 Mbps, now is available to new subscribers for $29 per month for the first six months of service. Current Brightspeed DSL and/or phone service customers will get the first month of service free.

The 500 Mbps service is for those with HD streaming, especially those with large households and the need for extra speed for activities such as streaming and competitive gaming. New Brightspeed Fiber internet customers subscribing to 500Mbps service get a $20 per month credit for the first 12 months. Current Brightspeed DSL and/or phone service customers who subscribe get the first month free and a $100 gift card.

Brightspeed says its 1Gig plan is its most popular. The plan offers speeds as fast as 940 Mbps. It is aimed at multiple high-bandwidth users. New Brightspeed Fiber Internet customers who subscribe to 1 Gig service get the first month free and a $100 gift card. Current Brightspeed DSL and/or phone service customers who subscribe to the service get the first month free and a $100 gift card.

New customers to the 1 Gig service will receive $20 Brightspeed Streaming Credits each month for six months.

Brightspeed’s fastest service is available on the 2 Gig plan. It supports dozens of devices in simultaneous use. New Brightspeed Fiber Internet customers who subscribe to the service get the first month free and a $200 gift card. Current Brightspeed DSL and/or phone service customers who upgrade to 2Gig service get the first month free.

New subscribers to the 2 Gig service also will receive $20 Brightspeed Streaming Credits each month for 12 months.

Brightspeed also is active on the fixed wireless access (FWA) front. In late January, Brightspeed said it is offering a FWAplan to customers still reliant on copper cables for connectivity. The new Brightspeed fixed wireless voice and data service leverages Verizon’s network to connect these customers.
