FCC Chairman Brendan Carr cheered that satellite is now directly competing with wireline and terrestrial wireless broadband companies.

The Benton Institute analysis, written by Kevin Taglang, takes issue with the FCC Annual Performance Report released earlier this month.

“I think soon you’ll see us taking a broader top-to-bottom look at the E-Rate and the [USF] high-cost program as well,” Carr said.
