AT&T has introduced a simplified list of pricing plans for its fiber home internet customers.
The announcement said its new entry-level fiber plan would be three times faster than before. Customers will receive internet backup free of charge when they combine qualifying services.
AT&T said the fastest plan includes AT&T’s All-Fi Pro, which includes enhanced Wi-Fi performance, whole home coverage, advanced security, Wi-Fi that adapts to routines, and the carrier’s latest technology with premium equipment upgrades.
Starting Sunday, June 7, AT&T fiber customers can choose between four different speed plans:
- 300 Mbps: $50 as a standalone service, $35 for customers who also have mobile service
- 500 Mbps: $65 as a standalone service, $50 for customers who also have mobile service
- 1 Gbps: $80 as a standalone service, $60 for customers who also have mobile service
- 5 Gbps: $125 as a standalone service, $100 for customers who also have mobile service
Telecompetitor reached out to an AT&T spokesperson who confirmed that these prices are not introductory or limited-time promotional rates, but are “standard prices with ongoing discounts.”
“This is about delivering straightforward plans for our customers that are packed with value, savings, and powered by a network that performs,” Jenifer Robertson, executive vice president and general manager, AT&T Consumer, said in the announcement of the new AT&T fiber plans. “Our focus is to provide something for everyone by offering the very best connectivity choices and plans that fit their specific needs.”
The new plans were announced about a week after AT&T launched Build-A-Plan, an initiative that gives customers the ability to personalize their mobile plans. Build-A-Plan starts at $15 per month and allows customers to adjust their plan on an ongoing basis to meet their budget, lifestyle, and connectivity needs, according to the press release.
