July 28, 2016 — El Segundo, California — We have a cure for homesick college students who are NFL fans. All you need is an internet or Wi-Fi connection and NFLSUNDAYTICKET.TV U.
DIRECTV, the satellite TV service owned by AT&T, is offering its exclusive live streaming NFL package to more active college students in the U.S.
For the first time, students at both 2-year and 4-year colleges are eligible. They can watch every live out-of-market NFL game, every Sunday afternoon. The student-friendly price is still only $24.99 a month for 4 months.
“University students are often far from home and unable to watch their favorite hometown NFL teams,” said David Christopher, chief marketing officer, AT&T Entertainment Group. “With NFLSUNDAYTICKET.TV U, we’re connecting them to their home and team.”
University students were the heaviest users of the streaming service last year. More than a third of all subscribers were students.
But it doesn’t stop with students. DIRECTV will continue to offer NFLSUNDAYTICKET.TV and NFLSUNDAYTICKET.TV MAX to residents who live in apartments, condos or townhomes in the U.S. where DIRECTV service is not available.
Nearly anyone living in a single family home that can’t connect to a DIRECTV satellite is also eligible for the streaming service. Once you qualify, you can stream every live, out-of-market regular season NFL game, every Sunday afternoon. And you can stream virtually anywhere you are.
NFLSUNDAYTICKET.TV U and NFLSUNDAYTICKET.TV MAX includes access to:
- RED ZONE CHANNEL®
- DIRECTV FANTASY ZONE™ Channel.
Each of these services stream live every Sunday afternoon on virtually any device.
The streaming service is now available on Apple TV (4th generation tvOS version only) this season for all NFLSUNDAYTICKET.TV subscribers in addition to its continued availability on Xbox One and 360, PlayStation 3 and 4, and Chromecast.
