In an early Black Friday/Cyber Monday promotion, Astound is offering a “Price for Life” Wi-Fi deal for $40 per month. The deal offers 1 Gbps service, no contract or equipment fees, and a promotional $200 gift card.
For a higher price, customers can obtain speeds up to 5 Gbps. The top tier also includes gift cards of $300, one free unlimited mobile line, and six months of free streaming on Netflix, HBO, Disney+, or Hulu.
The Astound Price for Life offer is good through December 17.
“Astound’s cyber deals reflect our commitment to being the most consumer-centric internet and WiFi service provider in the market,” Astound Chief Operating Officer Toni Murphy said in a prepared statement.
“This is just the beginning — we’re disrupting the industry with a forever deal that includes internet lifetime price guarantees, no contracts, no equipment fees, and a seamless technology experience backed by award-winning, exceptional customer support. There’s never been a better time to switch to a provider that puts customers in the driver’s seat and delivers what they want most: reliable, fast connectivity, transparency, and pricing for life.”
The Astound Price for Life offer comes during a year when many providers have introduced price locks, including Comcast’s Xfinity, T-Mobile, and Verizon.
The Price for Life could help Astound build on its recent provisional BEAD awards. Astound has been awarded several BEAD projects in Oregon, Texas, and Washington, which will drive much of the company’s expansion in the next two to three years.
“Without the BEAD assistance, [these projects] are just not economically feasible for us — or really any other provider — to try to go it alone and make the financials work,” Astound Senior Vice President of Operations Jared Sonne — who handles the company’s West Coast operations — told Telecompetitor in a recent interview.
