All West Communications has announced the acquisition of the Sweetwater Television Company, which it says will help it expand into southwest  Wyoming. Financial details of the All West Communications acquisition of Sweetwater Television were not released.

“We felt this natural geographic expansion of our current network just made sense,” said All West President Matthew Weller in a press release. “We will retain our deep commitment of investing in Wyoming to promote economic growth and development while being able to benefit from the resultant synergies provided by the merged resources of both companies.”

The deal unites two well-established companies. All West was founded in 1912. It now provides services to Lincoln and Uinta counties in Wyoming and Rich, Summit, and Wasatch counties in Utah. Sweetwater, which serves the Wyoming county of the same name, began operations in 1955.

In May, 2015, All West said that it would begin providing 1 Gig services to residential customers and would continue expanding its fiber-to-the-home footprint. The company provides 10 Gig broadband to businesses.
