ANCHORAGE, Alaska–May 29, 2013–Alaska Communications (NASDAQ: ALSK) has expanded its hosted Voice over Internet service for businesses in Southcentral Alaska. The company launched Voice over Internet for small businesses late last year. It’s now expanding its Voice over Internet service to large businesses and multi-location enterprises in Southcentral Alaska.

Voice over Internet is a cloud-based phone system that allows businesses to access their enterprise phone system on any device any where they are connected. Because it is a cloud- based system, it provides better functionality and lower costs than traditional phone systems.
