Qwest Launches ‘Digital Vault’ Data Back-Up Service

announced the launch of , their version of an online back-up and storage solution. Targeting the consumer market, Qwest is trying to leverage the explosion in digital media usage by consumers by offering a “a secure and automatic way to protect their most valuable digital content.” Digital Vault offers Qwest broadband customers a free 2GB storage service and charges $6.99/month for 50GB of storage and $9.99/ month for ‘unlimited storage.’ Qwest joins many of their competitors who have also launched online back-up and storage solutions. Qwest Digital Vault features include:

  • Online backup – customers can trust that their digital content is safely backed-up with secure data-encryption
  • Automated and customizable backup scheduling – by scheduling automatic backups, customers can be sure their newest files and versions will be safe
  • File restore and complete restore – even if external hard-drives, thumb-drives or CDs are damaged, lost or stolen, customers can access their backed-up content
  • Manual settings – customers can manually back up their documents at any time, and can even share their files with anyone they choose
  • Anytime, anywhere access – backed-up content can be accessed by entering the appropriate username and password on any PC with a broadband connection

    I have tried alot of times to use the vault back up service— But it won't accept my phone #– I have tried every thing I can think of .I really need a back up vault– thanks Kay
